Creative Photography and Composites
At the end of 2016 I started to teach myself how to do composite photography. Early 2017 my first two composite images were entered into the Sussex Photographic Federation Print Championship. The image entitled “Clockwork Orange” won print of the year in the competition and the second image Autumn Shades Leaves of Betrayal also won awards and medals.

Following my talk “Access to Photography – My Photographic Journey” where I show a few examples of composite images; photographers have encouraged me to do a talk on the subject. So this is a new talk for 2021, I do a start to finish presentation looking at photographing all subject matter in my studio and out on location. I then conclude with how I put all the layers and elements together to produce “Sisters of Mercy” shown above.

New Presentation :
5 Portrait Photographers - Have a Go Yourself

I launched this new presentation in November 2020 for the SxPF (Sussex Photographic Federation) presenting it online to their member clubs. This is part of my ACCESS TO PHOTOGRAPHY presentations looking at 5 distinctly different well known photographers, and how their styles differ from each other, showing you how they go about photographing their subjects and the end results.

The idea behind this presentation is to inspire club photography and show how styles can be so different. We look at the work of David Bailey, Richard Avedon, Annie Leibovitz, Terry Richardson and Steve McCurrey. We critique 3 images hoping if possible to get audience participation or feedback.

Finally i conclude this presentation with working examples taken in my Studio and out on Location.
